About the Role

The Site IT Manager is the fully accountable IT leader for all IT services at the Seneca campus. This role ensures stable, secure, and standardized IT service delivery aligned with enterprise IT strategies, platforms, and policies while directly supporting site leadership and business operations. The Site IT Manager represents all IT services at the site, owns the site-specific digital roadmap and technology adoption, leads local execution, and partners with regional and global IT teams to deliver enterprise capabilities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership, Governance & Business Alignment
    • Act as the primary IT business partner and single point of contact for both the DMS and BES business units within the Seneca campus.
    • Represent the full scope of enterprise IT services at the site and coordinate with service teams to ensure alignment with business requirements and priorities.
    • Shape and lead the local digital roadmap in alignment with regional roadmaps and enterprise strategies.
    • Ensure clear communication of IT priorities, service performance, risks, and improvement actions.
    • Ensure site-level adherence to global IT governance, standards, and architectural principles.
  • Manufacturing IT / OT & Cybersecurity
    • Own site-level execution and governance of IT and alignment with OT environments, including local MES, SCADA, connectivity, and engineering systems.
    • Ensure compliance with IT/OT cybersecurity requirements, including asset inventory, segmentation, vulnerability remediation, and change controls.
    • Coordinate with regional and global cybersecurity teams to remediate risks and incidents.
    • Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and resilience plans are implemented, tested, and maintained at the site.
  • Digital Transformation & Technology Adoption
    • Lead local adoption of enterprise AI, digital platforms, tools, and processes.
    • Support change management by guiding site stakeholders through new technologies and ways of working.
    • Execute site components of regional and global digital initiatives, ensuring consistency and reuse.
    • Identify adoption barriers, local risks, and improvement opportunities and escalate as required.
  • IT Operations, Performance & Escalation Management
    • Own end-to-end IT service performance at the site, across enterprise and local services.
    • Act as the site escalation point for IT incidents, service degradation, and operational risks.
    • Coordinate local and enterprise service teams to ensure timely resolution and root-cause elimination.
    • Participate in regular service reviews with site leadership and ensure SLA and KPI adherence.
    • Ensure operational compliance, audit readiness, data protection, business continuity planning, and enforcement of IT and IT/OT policies.
    • Manage local vendors and service providers in alignment with enterprise agreements.
  • Site Project & Portfolio Management
    • Lead and coordinate site-level execution of IT projects and initiatives.
    • Manage the site-specific IT roadmap, projects, including scope, schedule, risk, and vendor coordination.
    • Ensure alignment with global, regional priorities, PMO standards, and enterprise delivery models.
    • Provide transparency on project status, dependencies, and business impact.
  • Talent Leadership & Capability Development
    • Lead, coach, and develop the local IT team for their professional skills and experiences.
    • Ensure site IT capabilities across operations, IT/OT, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
    • Foster a culture of ownership, service excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
    • Actively participate in regional IT communities and capability-building initiatives.
  • IT Financial Management
    • Manage site IT financials, including budget, forecast, and actuals.
    • Ensure cost transparency and compliance with approved spending.
    • Support regional IT investment planning with accurate site-level input.

Reporting & Scope

  • Reports to the Regional Senior IT Manager, with a dotted line to the Plant Manager.
  • Acts as the IT single point of contact for plant leadership.
  • Owns end-to-end IT accountability at the site.
  • Leads local IT resources and coordinates enterprise service teams and providers.
  • Operates within the global IT operating model and standards.

Safety

This position is required to comply with the Seneca Safety Program, including all applicable safety rules, practices, and training requirements. This includes the proper use of equipment, protective devices, and personal protective clothing as mandated by the employer. The individual is expected to perform all duties in a manner that prioritizes the prevention of workplace accidents and illnesses. They must take all reasonable precautions, given the circumstances, to ensure the safety of themselves and their coworkers. Additionally, the individual is responsible for promptly reporting any injuries, hazardous conditions, incidents, or unsafe occurrences to their immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 6+ years of related IT management experience required.
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) preferred.
  • Highly experienced information systems professional with a strong technical background and proven track record in a large, complex multi-level organization.
  • Experience in network infrastructure, architecture, and protocols (routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, network appliances), network automation and operations, patch management, application delivery, monitoring, and cloud computing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service, with a track record of responsive and effective support, solid working relationships, and high-quality, value-added services.
  • An innovative thinker who understands the practical application of technology and can plan for systems that will carry the organization into the future.
  • Broad and deep knowledge of network infrastructure, architecture, and protocols (routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, network appliances), network automation and operations, patch management, application delivery, monitoring, and cloud computing.
