Plant Human Resources Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead HR partner for plant leadership, influencing decision-making and driving organizational effectiveness
• Collaborate closely with senior leaders to develop and execute HR and talent strategies
• Act as a member of the site leadership team, contributing to business strategy and operational success
• Align HR initiatives with business goals to enhance performance and mitigate risk
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for exempt, professional, and leadership roles
• Partner with leaders to define hiring needs and build strong talent pipelines
• Support employee development, training initiatives, and succession planning
• Manage complex employee relations matters including investigations, discipline, and terminations
• Administer leave programs, accommodations, and workers’ compensation claims
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
• Analyze compensation and benefits trends and recommend competitive programs
• Oversee HR metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making
• Ensure effective HR systems, recordkeeping, and process optimization
• Promote a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture
• Coach and advise leaders on employee engagement and performance management
• Drive initiatives that enhance retention and employee experience
• Occasional travel (~5%) for site visits, training, and events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience across multiple disciplines
• 5+ years of people leadership experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment strongly preferred
• Background in aerospace, defense, or similar industries a plus
• Licenses or certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
