About the role

We're looking for a dynamic and highly motivated HR Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to our plant Human Resources department. This role is an opportunity to grow and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, playing a key part in ensuring our HR policies are effectively implemented by administering policies and procedures, facilitating training sessions, and handling various HR-related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Assistance: Process human resource documentation, including I-9 compliance and employee records. Assist with preparing correspondence and HR-related compliance audits (including SMETA/SWA). Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency.
  • Employee Relations: Answer routine questions and inquiries requiring knowledge of HR procedures. Provide resources to empower employees (e.g., FMLA, LOA, ADA, Workday resources, HR Service Center). Assist with addressing routine workplace concerns.
  • Employee Engagement & Events: Coordinate and support facility-level employee engagement efforts, including planning and executing recognition events, appreciation initiatives, and HR-led activities to improve morale and strengthen relationships across departments.
  • Employee Support and Training: Assist and/or facilitate orientation, perform exit interviews, and gather feedback. Serve as a visible and approachable partner by regularly visiting the production floor to engage employees at all levels, fostering a safe and respectful work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience being organized, flexible, and multi-task oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization and manage-up effectively.
  • Solid understanding of Human Resources functions and requirements.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Skills

  • Previous Workday/HCM system experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant. The plant environment may include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud in the production area.
  • Capable of sitting for extended periods and lifting up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
