Plant Engineer - Massillon

Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance Technical Services to develop annual capital plans.
- Lead projects from creating strategic action plans through execution, ensuring scope, costs, and schedules are met.
- Provide detailed scopes of work, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Manage and schedule project elements to ensure minimal interruption to plant operations; deliver finished projects as designed on time and on budget with no safety, food safety, or environmental issues.
- Assist in selecting and validating new equipment, ensuring it aligns with operational needs and regulatory compliance.
- Engineer, design, optimize, analyze equipment, systems, and processes to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
- Assess the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
- Collaborate with the safety, operations, and quality assurance departments to identify and troubleshoot problems; ensure compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
- Lead weekly project update meetings with collaborative team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated Project Management experience as a hands-on project manager delivering project scope from concept to closure on-time and on-budget, scheduling work to promote maximum amount completed with minimal plant downtime, resulting in higher plant efficiency.
- Experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Understanding of key manufacturing process attributes such as quality, yield, and downtime.
- Working knowledge of 2D Blueprint AutoCAD and Microsoft Suite.
- Basic understanding of ISO 9000 design requirements.
- Proven track record of safe work habits and/or promoting a safe workplace.
- High level of leadership skills, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, technical, and presentation skills required.
