Status: Exempt Salaried
On-Site at 1091 Carolina Pines Drive Blythewood, SC 29016
Position Purpose
The Plant Engineer executes the mechanical, electrical and process related solutions that improve, correct manufacturing issues. This role leads engineering projects that improve safety, quality and site processes. The Plant Engineer will lead technical and operational projects that involve a broad range of equipment, materials and processes.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field – Prefer Electro-Mechanical.
- 4-7 years in a related industry field such as plastic or converting environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of machine design capability.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Building Codes and OSHA standards.
- Design experience associated with the following: process piping, pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, natural gas, air conveyance systems, silos, tanks, extruders, winders, rollers, conveyors.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in a continuous improvement environment.
- Must be organized and able to handle multiple projects, and possess an understanding of the responsibilities of an in-house marketing department and how multiple business units work together to present a single, unified look and message.
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detail oriented, results driven and conscientious.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
