Plant Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Plant Engineer to join our team in Merritt Island, FL. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the continuous, secure, and efficient operation of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Safety, Health, and Environmental Stewardship: Promote a safety-conscious culture, engage in safety meetings, and ensure compliance with Food Safety, FDA, and cGMP policies.
- Operations and Maintenance Management: Study and maintain critical technical documentation, develop PM schedules, generate work orders, and identify maintenance requirements.
- Communication, Documentation, and Teamwork: Foster open communication, provide technical support, and participate in RCA and RCM efforts.
- Professional Development and Administration: Pursue personal growth, adhere to policies, and utilize training resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of directly related industrial operations experience, preferably within a cryogenic air separation, chemical processing, or similar heavy industrial environment
- Capacity and willingness to be on-call for critical plant emergencies
- Comprehensive understanding of plant safety rules, governmental regulations, and company safety policies/procedures
- Advanced Life Safety skills, Move Smart techniques, and adherence to safety requirements including Hazardous Work Permits, energy control isolation, and participation in safety inspections
- Understanding of governmental regulations including Food Safety, FDA, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, environmental permitting/compliance, loading/quality assurance procedures, basic principles of electricity, national/local operating procedures, CMMS system functionality, maintenance management processes, and assists in Audits (internal and external)

- Valid employment authorization in the U.S.
