Plant Electro-Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Trains and assists in the operation of plant machinery and equipment
• Calibrates equipment, checks furnace operating conditions, monitors glass levels, and inspects samples for defects
• Makes minor adjustments and repairs and performs preventive maintenance functions as directed
• Works from complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, shop and vendor manuals, layouts, and other specifications
• Performs analysis and repair work in overhead structures, in close quarters, and in hot areas
• Works in a safe manner and in a team environment

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics and/or mechanical fields required
• Experience with AC/DC power distribution, high/low voltage applications, servo systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical devices

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a safe manner and in a team environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read electrical/electronic diagrams/drawings, and an understanding of computers and related equipment is required
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines, in close quarters and hot areas performing analysis and repair work

Pay

The hourly wage for this position is $49.54
