Summary
This position performs general housekeeping duties throughout the entire facility.
Responsibilities
- Cleans bathrooms, walkways, by machinery, and breakroom, including floors, glass, walls and ceilings
- Keeps aisles clean and free of cans and glass
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and use riding scrubber to maintain the cleanliness of the plant
- Makes sure all trash and recycling from the plant area is disposed of properly
- Empties trash barrels, keeping area around dumpster and fenced in area clean
- May be used to relieve machine operator in production setting
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer
- Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook
- Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and carpet cleaners
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials. Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold. The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor. Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.
Physical requirements include regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 50lbs regularly; extended standing on hard surfaces; working around noise, dust, variable temperatures and use of production chemicals. Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception. Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands, feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Works in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors. Frequently exposed to working near mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.

Pay & Schedule
Full Time Night Shift. 12-hour shift - 6p-6a. 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!). Compensation: $18.00 - $20.50 per hour depending on experience. Plus, a $2.00 night shift differential, if applicable. Night Shift Bonus $750!
