Plant Controller - Manufacturing

Job Details

Oversee all financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
Develop and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and compliance procedures
Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
Handle inventory costing, job costing, and operational financial metrics for packaging and pallet services
Lead accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
Prepare financial statements and reports for leadership review
Collaborate with operations on cost optimization, pricing, and efficiency initiatives
Support audits, tax compliance, and financial planning activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with 3+ years in a Controller or similar leadership role
• Strong background in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain industries preferred
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, ERP systems), advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools
• Proven experience with inventory management, cost accounting, and operational analysis
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and high integrity
