Plant Controller

About the role

The Plant Controller is responsible for preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting and procedural standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes full-cycle accounting in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and account reconciliation.
• Completion of month-end and year-end financial working papers and financial statement preparation.
• Conducts various account analyses and monthly reconciliations of key accounts, including cash, inventory, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable, along with an ongoing review of journal entries.
• Prepares monthly management reports.
• Maintains oversight of administrative procedures and delegates tasks according to corporate guidelines.
• Aids in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate reporting.
• Aids in the preparation of annual operating budgets and Business Model reviews.
• Assists in the preparation of ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed to meet company objectives.

Requirements

• Desirable Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Accounting or equivalent experience. CMA, CPA, or MBA is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Skills

• Strong background using MS Word and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to develop skills and manage subordinates' potential.
• Strong managerial, presentation, and communication skills.
