Responsibilities
- Lead plant accounting activities by overseeing cost reporting, financial controls, and analysis tied to manufacturing performance.
- Manage the month-end close process for the facility, ensuring financial results are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
- Maintain and refine standard costing methods to improve visibility into product costs, inventory valuation, and production variances.
- Analyze manufacturing expenses, labor, material usage, and overhead trends to identify risks and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Partner with plant leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making with clear financial insights.
- Review inventory-related transactions and reconciliations to help ensure reliable records and strong internal controls.
- Investigate cost variances and communicate findings with actionable recommendations to operational and finance stakeholders.
- Support process improvements within plant finance activities, including accounting procedures and reporting workflows when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plant or manufacturing finance with a strong background in cost accounting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles, including standard costing and variance analysis.
- Hands-on experience managing month-end close activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret financial data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
