Plant Clerk
About the role
The Plant Clerk supports US Aggregates' plant operations and sales team. Key responsibilities include dispatching haulers, verifying tickets, managing cash sales, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Primary backup for dispatching haulers for daily loads
- Responsible for daily weighing and ticketing of trucks
- Check and verify daily tickets for accuracy
- Manage visitor check-ins and safety requirements
- Scan and file daily tickets
- Process daily cash sales
- Update and compile daily CAPP reports
- Communicate quote information and enter quotes as instructed
- Aid in job updates and customer communications
- Train backup plant clerks
- Manage Purchase Orders (POs)
- Support safety submissions
- Offer support on customer issues and key job statuses
- Communicate between sales and operations teams
- Identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Collaborative and team-oriented work style
- Technology proficiency for streamlined processes
