About the Role

The Plant Associate will perform assembly and processes for parts used in missiles and high-tech products. This position is located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington, NM, and adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act. This is a second shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing environment such as assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, encapsulation, soldering, repair, and/or inspection of wire harness, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Check own work with available fixtures and production aids to ensure workmanship quality.
  • May route, dispatch, and expedite flow of material.
  • Follow written instruction, procedure, and product specification to complete assigned tasks.
  • Understand and perform all job duties in accordance with operating procedures/instructions related to environmental/safety requirements and regulations governing the work area.
  • Physically able to perform duties including lifting more than 25 lbs., working overtime, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, sitting or standing for long periods, and excessive walking.
  • Communicate, interact, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D. in the U.S.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eye and hand coordination for assembly.
  • Ability to monitor and self-check work.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
