About the Role
The Plant Associate will perform assembly and processes for parts used in missiles and high-tech products. This position is located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington, NM, which adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in recruitment and hiring practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing environment such as assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, encapsulation, soldering, repair, and/or inspection of wire harness, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Check own work with available fixtures and production aids to ensure workmanship quality.
- May route, dispatch, and expedite flow of material.
- Follow written instructions, procedures, and product specifications to complete assigned tasks.
- Understand and perform all job duties in accordance with environmental/safety requirements and regulations governing the work area.
- Physically able to perform duties including lifting more than 25 lbs., working overtime, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, sitting or standing for long periods, and excessive walking.
- Communicate, interact, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D. in the U.S.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Eye and hand coordination for assembly.
- Ability to monitor and self-check work.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
