As a Planning Strategist, you will play a crucial role in bringing this vision to life by serving as a trusted expert to high-net-worth clients, collaborating closely with advisory teams, and delivering sophisticated planning strategies.
Responsibilities
Lead advanced, high-net-worth planning, serving as the primary planning strategist for a select group of clients with complex needs.
Proactively identify and execute planning opportunities, ensuring clients receive forward-thinking, integrated guidance.
Partner closely with advisory teams to design, present, and implement comprehensive planning strategies.
Guide new high-net-worth clients through a smooth onboarding and discovery process, ensuring all planning engagements are delivered with precision, clarity, and adherence to “The Savant Way” and our service model standards.
Serve as a trusted planning resource for advisors and clients, attending meetings and handling planning-related inquiries.
Support the advisory team with timely analyses, follow-up work, and planning deliverables.
Be a thought leader and knowledge builder, developing educational content, blogs, analyses, and webinar presentations that position Savant as a leader in planning excellence.
Elevate the skillset and confidence of planners and advisors through internal training and contribute to updates and enhancements to internal processes, tools, and planning best practices.
Mentor, develop, and elevate others within the planning team, fostering a culture rooted in growth, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
8+ years delivering comprehensive financial planning, with 3+ years serving high-net-worth clients.
CFP® certification required.
Experience reviewing personal tax returns (2–3 years preferred).
Pursuit or possession of a tax-focused certification (CPA preferred; TPCP®, EA, or similar welcomed).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and planning/tax software.
Demonstrated tax, wealth management, and financial planning acumen.
Exceptional communication skills — both client-facing and internal.
Benefits
Base salary range: $127,500 - $175,000.
