Key responsibilities
- Utilize NewCold's inventory systems according to company and customer standards while managing quality issues on behalf of the customer.
- Work with customers and haulers to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved and loading and unloading is completed in a timely manner.
- Act as a liaison for System Operators, Planners, Yard Operators, and the Dispatch Shift Leader to ensure optimum workflows and efficiencies take place across warehouse activities.
- Train and indirectly manage the team in line with NewCold company policy and ensuring company and customer standards are met.
- Partner with managers and supervisors on improvement initiatives to reduce cost and/or improve customer service.
- Monitor and react to KPI results, partnering with the Site Manager to identify and share continuous improvement opportunities.
- Document software and hardware bug detection and report issues to the IT-WMS Super User.
- Act in line with company and customer procedures ensuring quality of product is maintained according to customer requirements.
- Communicate quality issues, services issues and risks with customers, haulers and NewCold team.
- Ensure costs are controlled and inline with budget expectations while a safe and healthy work environment is maintained and all company and customer KPI's are achieved.
- Escalate and communicate customer issues to warehouse operational staff to ensure quick resolution.
- Manage and maintain stock accuracy between NewCold's customer inventory control system and NewCold's WMS system (MLS).
- Assisting the operation as required by the site, including:
- Assist colleagues in carrying out tasks as required.
- Support Business Development initiatives as required.
- Continuously look for areas of improvement.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in operational, stock control, customer service, and/or planning leadership.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study.
