About the role

Venturi Astrolab, Inc. (Astrolab) is a pioneering company in exploring and operating on distant planetary bodies. We design, build, and operate a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to expand humanity’s presence in the solar system. We are seeking a Manager of Planning & Inventory Control to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform.

  • Manage the Production Schedule, aligning demand signals within our MRP and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

  • Update ERP-based Bill of Materials (BOM) throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, moving from Advanced Demand Planning to Released Product Planning.

  • Oversee Warehouse & Inventory Control processes, adhering to best practices and AS9100 requirements.

  • Create and manage metrics, reports, and processes to optimize workload utilization, aiming for >80% capacity.

  • Analyze and manage inventory usage, scrap, and storage to reduce losses and improve resource efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain best practices for shipping, including managing Less Than Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) supplier relationships.

  • Support Production by performing tasks such as picking, kitting, and receiving goods as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in inventory control, production planning, or supply chain management.

  • Experience using ERP systems like NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience supporting inventory control and production planning.

  • Experience analyzing inventory and supply chain data.

  • Experience managing multiple projects or priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
