About the Role
The Department of Planning and Development is seeking a Communications Intern for the Fall 2026 Semester. This role offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects in a vibrant city environment, contributing to public relations, marketing, branding, and advertising initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Social media management
- Drafting press releases
- Graphic design
- Creating presentations
- Photography
- Developing talking points
- Blog writing
- Writing for web and "how to" instructions
- Creating videos
- Editing and proofreading
- Assisting in event planning
- Collateral creation
- Attending public and press events
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Public Affairs, or Public Relations
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Creativity and ability to attend events in person
Schedule
Up to 20 hours per week, in-person.
Pay
$17.62 per hour.

Additional Information
