Planning Analyst

About the role

The Planning Analyst position at 3M Guin, AL supports production planning operations. Key responsibilities include managing the supply plan, coordinating with other 3M locations and external suppliers, and providing planning analysis to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage the supply plan by purchasing raw materials, scheduling production, and managing finished good inventory for multiple manufacturing areas
• Coordinate with other 3M locations, external suppliers, and various business teams to meet service, cost, and inventory targets
• Develop and maintain operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand
• Publish and present service and inventory metrics, results, and gap analysis
• Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets
• Identify and implement supply chain process improvement projects
• Participate in business transformation readiness activities and projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Two (2) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain from an accredited institution (preferred)
• Four (4) years of supply chain, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, production, and/or customer service experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Proficient in Microsoft office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution and/or Planning System (e.g. SAP)
• APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) CPIM certification is preferred
• Experience in Lean Scheduling or Lean Manufacturing
• Experience with Microsoft VBA Macros, SQL, MS Cloud Apps (e.g. Teams, SharePoint, Power BI)

Pay & Benefits

• Range: $84,595 - $103,394, including base pay plus variable incentive pay
