Planner/Scheduler
About the role
In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for proposals or contracts. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts
- Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
- Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
- Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
- Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
- Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
- Assists with schedule recovery plans
Education And Experience Requirements
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge And Skills
- Expert communication skills which include technical writing used to manage contracts and change management
- Expert level problem-solving skills including assessing impacts to overall project costs
- Field experience required including working on large-scale engineering and construction contracts
- Experience supporting or leading the development of claims
- Expert level at Primavera P6
- Expert level skills with Power BI used to create dashboards
