Planner Merchandise eCommerce - KAY
Sales and Margin Plans
Develop, execute and communicate sales and margin plans for Kay.com and KayOutlet.com.
Identify and quantify sales and margin opportunities and risks.
Ecommerce Performance
Support ecommerce performance through analytics, promotional execution, assortment management, and cross-functional coordination to achieve financial and operational objectives.
- Develop and maintain demand, sales, and margin forecasts across daily, weekly, monthly, and annual horizons.
- Track performance vs. plan, identify variances, and support reporting.
Data Analysis and Recommendations
Analyze historical data, trends, and customer behavior to identify risks and opportunities. Conduct deep-dive analysis and provide actionable recommendations to drive business performance.
Ecommerce Promotional Calendar Execution
Support execution and optimization of the ecommerce promotional calendar. Analyze promotional performance and ensure accurate setup across systems and channels.
Assortment Strategy Execution
Assist assortment strategy execution across owned and drop ship businesses. Monitor SKU productivity, availability, and lifecycle performance, and provide item-level forecasts for drop ship assortment inclusive of key items.
Pricing Execution
- Support pricing execution including promotional and regular price changes.
- Conduct audits to ensure pricing accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Collaboration and Coordination
Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. Support planning cadences and monitor fulfillment performance (BOPIS, SFS).

Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business or related area
- Job-Related Experience: Non-degreed candidates considered if the candidate has extensive background in retail merchandising (planning or buying)
- Years of Job-Related Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of merchandise or retail experience preferred
Technical/Other Skills
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgement and quantitative analytics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn other software (Hyperion, SAP Finance, Business Objects, MFP, APT, Tableau, Altryx, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and negotiate.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
