Position Responsibilities
- Develops, monitors and manages the production and purchasing plans by interfacing with key departments including Program Management, Procurement, Finance, and Operations.
- Responsible for accurately loading and maintaining internal order entry and related shop orders into company ERP system.
- Utilizes the ERP system to plan and release work orders to the shop floor in a timely manner which allows customers' needs to be met.
- Provides leadership and guidance to Planner I for monitoring and actioning ability for each project, owning the KPI for specified project(s).
- Mitigates risks by understanding job status and communicating potential issues to interested and affected parties.
- Understands impact of planning functions on the procurement demand to order and works with the purchasing team to recognize and resolve issues.
- Holds job production project planning meetings in the absence of a job kick-off meeting.
- Assesses inventory at job kickoff meeting and obtains required quality assurance engineering (QAE) approval.
- Aligns materials with production plan and interfaces with buying team on potential or actual shortages.
- Utilizes Planner I to stay on top of these by creating consistent monitoring review.
- Responsible to initiate, lead or participate in project team meetings as the project's planning leader, providing needed status/input to meet customer on-time delivery requirements.
- Supports team development by training and assisting Planners with job knowledge and demonstrating best practices.
- Led or assists in continuous improvement projects including definition, team collaboration, execution and documentation.
- Assists Planning Manager with projects related to Master Scheduling and Capacity Planning.
- Participate in Configuration Control Board meetings, performing appropriate order entry and work order maintenance as required.
- Approves material move tickets for non-order issues.
- Assists in resolving material requirement discrepancies and unexpected out of stock situations.
- Initiates scheduling of shipments via the notification of shipment process.
- Performs work order close and job closure functions in the company ERP system.
- Performs other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

Qualifications
- BS/BA in Business, or Supply Chain Management.
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- APICS Certification Preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, preferably in a related industry.
- Eligible to obtain a government security clearance.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Lititz and Lancaster locations as needed.
