Planner II
Job Summary
Prepare daily work schedules, track work progress, update and communicate project critical path schedules, and advise leadership of needed adjustments to daily work activities.
Complete Ownership for Planning and issuing work orders, reviewing expedited requests and assisting in the daily production schedules along with driving adherence to the appropriate planning horizons.
Acts as liaison to departments to assist in providing a tactical and projected flow of required materials.
Develops metrics to measure manufacturing performance to schedule (lead time, schedule attainment, and schedule adherence) and works with production to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Expedite, schedule and process OSV orders.
Conducts various gap and postmortem analyses between schedules and actuals, identifying key drivers for discussion in a future state.
Focus on continuous improvement within scope of responsibilities for developing, improving, and implementing sound materials management practices.
Supper accuracy of internal logistics movement of critical work.
Ensure ITAR compliance and control through secured and coded correspondence and designated/approved communication portals.
Supporting Audits (internal and external).
Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Responsible self-starter and team player with manufacturing or service experience
- Strong understanding of and experience with demand management principals and processes coupled with end-to-end supply chain operational processes
- Experience introducing/working with Production Planning solutions, software and systems
- Hands on experience with ERP systems
- Strong working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
- Demonstrated ability to influence in cross-functional situations
- Good analytical skills, Excel, MS Project, PPT, Word
- Strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
- Track record of developing and implementing change which positively impacts company performance
- Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask
- High level of integrity and dedication, a positive work attitude and strong work ethic
Required Experience And Education
- Associates Degree / APICS certification in supply chain operations or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of ERP/MRP experience
- Aerospace or Electronic component manufacturing experience desired
