Planner
About the role
Your role and responsibilities in this position include end-to-end planning of inventory, from purchase requisition to customer invoice, as well as supporting internal customer service inquiries. You will also be responsible for setting inventory parameters and targets, ensuring adequate replenishment of inventory, and maintaining material availability according to the manufacturing plan.
Responsibilities
- Defining inventory policies based on specified segmentation
- Calculating and maintaining inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies, in planning systems and ERPs
- Analyzing potential shortages, assigning valid notifications to the Purchasing team, troubleshooting inconsequential warnings, and adjusting SAP parametrization when applicable
- Collaborating with buyers to achieve the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity, quality, lead time, and flexibility
Requirements
- Experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or inventory management
- SAP experience is mandatory
- Analytical skills, including advanced Excel and Power BI
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, or supply chain. Must have experience in SAP MM/PP. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Query, Power BI, and data analysis is preferred, as is experience in Inventory Management & Control and Microsoft Office.
Additional Information
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. The pay rate for this position is $40.00/hr, with hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, located at 5900 Eastport Blvd, Richmond, VA 23231, United States, for a duration of 6-12 months.
