Planner

Job Responsibilities

• Enters sales orders and acknowledges ship dates.
• Maintains accuracy of pricing on incoming orders to prevent short pays.
• Adjusts schedules and issues work orders to accommodate order changes, cancellations, and revised forecasts.
• Determines revised plans in case of schedule failures.
• Manages customer relationships by communicating with customers, addressing their requests, and serving as a primary contact.
• Schedules and coordinates shipments with the Shipping Department.
• Evaluates and reviews forecasts.
• Identifies and addresses bottlenecks in the manufacturing process and brings them to engineering's attention.
• Expedites late deliveries from external vendors as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Two years of relevant experience required.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
