About the role

Develops and maintains the company production plan within a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains a production plan and inventory plan within a lean environment.
  • Works closely with customers to meet production plans.
  • Identifies capacity constraints and brings recommendations to management for resolution.
  • Provides planning support to all new product introductions.
  • Pursues continuous improvement in all activities.
  • Assists in developing financial budgets.
  • Provides information on plant metrics and performance.
  • Routinely reviews performance against the existing production schedule and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Responsible for addressing backorders with vendors and developing plans to recover.
  • Maintains integrity of planning data within ERP system and conducts periodic reviews.
  • Responsible for performance management, including selection, training, employee development, performance reviews, cross training, and disciplinary action.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Once competency is demonstrated, may be required to train others in similar roles.

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of GMP within the medical device field preferred.

  • Excellent follow-up skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks with minimal supervision and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Previous experience with an MRP system preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 – $100,000 USD (actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market/business considerations, and geographic location).
