Plan Reviewer

Description

• Reviews sediment and erosion control, stormwater, water quality plans, and stormwater calculations/engineer reports.
• Reviews plans, elevation certificates, flood studies, and other regulatory submittals for floodplain encroachment and/or compliance with the County's Flood Damage Prevention ordinance.
• Reviews residential and commercial building permits for stormwater compliance.
• Review plans for roadway, utility infrastructure, and associated land disturbance impacts to waterbodies.
• Review retaining wall plans for scour and erosion impact and sustainability.
• Review and assess detention waiver requests.
• Reviews stormwater and roadway as-builts.
• Affix bond requests for off-site sedimentation and final stabilization.
• Performs site visits and/or inspections for floodplain and stormwater compliance, as needed, which requires the ability to drive and operate a vehicle.
• Coincide with other local, State and Federal government agencies on permit application approvals.
• Maintain Stormwater Compliance permit databases, archived files, and GIS data.
• Issue County Land Disturbance Permits for County and State approved plans.
• Coordinate and provide support to Environmental Compliance Inspectors on specific project issues, including approved and stamped plan sets, Pre-Construction Conferences, compliance and potential violation questions, bonding requests, as-built field inspections, and Notices of Termination applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two (2) years of experience in permitting, engineering, planning, or related field.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Must possess or obtain within one year of hire: Certified Stormwater Plan Reviewer (CSPR).
• Must possess or obtain within two years of hire: Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).
• Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI) a plus.
