Building Plan Reviewer

Responsibilities

• Examine construction drawings and specifications for residential and commercial projects to ensure compliance with state/local building codes, zoning ordinances, and safety regulations before permits are issued.
• Work with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment with construction codes for structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring public safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Five years of construction experience required.
• Possession of or ability to obtain ICC (International Code Council) certifications in building, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing plan review.
• Deep understanding of construction practices, materials, and municipal codes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong analytical, technical review, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, time management, and ability to manage shifting workloads.
• Valid driver’s license required.
