About the Role

The RPS Plan Coordinator is responsible for processing contributions, assisting plan sponsors with rollover funds, preparing loan documents, monitoring participant loan activity, and maintaining up-to-date investment and legislative knowledge. This role ensures compliance with qualified plan standards and acts as the primary point of contact for clients regarding retirement plan inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Process plan contributions, addressing eligibility, statutory limits, and accuracy issues.
  • Manage rollover fund processing to ensure compliance with qualified plan standards.
  • Maintain working knowledge of loan regulations to prepare loan documents, monitor activity, and review late payments to keep the plan in qualified status.
  • Cross-train on reconciling cash and units daily to ensure accuracy of deposits.
  • Administer forfeiture allocations per payroll cycle in accordance with plan rules.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Plan Sponsors to resolve outstanding issues and deliver reports.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of vesting schedules and percentages for employer contributions.
  • Maintain investment knowledge and stay updated on technical and legislative changes; proactively communicate updates to clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding retirement plan inquiries, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with clients and payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll data.
  • Review and reconcile payroll files for retirement plan contributions, loan repayments, and deferrals.
  • Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and work with internal teams and clients to resolve issues.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsive service.
  • Develop and update procedures to ensure compliance with bank policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Complete compliance training and report any compliance issues or violations of law.
  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Requirements

  • Strong accounting and reconcilement skills.
  • 1 year of pension plan recordkeeping or administration knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and experience with bank software.
  • Thorough knowledge of database management software preferred.
