About the role
401GO is seeking a results-driven Plan Consultant (PC) to join our high-performance sales team. The role involves conducting sales consultations, leveraging retirement plan expertise, managing a sales pipeline, and collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and lead virtual sales meetings to understand the prospect’s goals and expectations, thereby presenting solutions and driving plan adoption.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of Qualified Retirement Plans - including 401(k), 403(b), and Cash Balance - to provide strategic consultation and guidance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HubSpot CRM, including activity tracking, deal progression, and reporting.
- Work closely with Regional Vice Presidents, Sales Operations, and Customer Support teams to ensure a seamless handoff from prospect to onboarding.
- Navigate a streamlined sales cycle, manage multiple leads simultaneously, and prioritize tasks in a high-velocity environment.
- Participate in team strategy sessions and contribute to ongoing sales process enhancements and best practices.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience selling Qualified Retirement Plans (401(k), 403(b), Cash Balance, etc.).
- Proven track record of closing deals in a fast-paced B2B sales environment.
- Strong understanding of retirement plan design, compliance considerations, and fiduciary requirements.
- Must be quick to learn and confidently demonstrate 401GO’s SaaS technology during prospect meetings and product walkthroughs.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and sequences, and demonstrate ability to continuously update and manage a full sales pipeline effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex concepts.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Financial Advisors, Payroll providers, and small to mid-size business owners and C-Suites.
- Familiarity with digital-first or SaaS-based technology platforms.
- Designing and implementing retirement plans that meet the unique requirements of the client.
