Plaintiffs Litigation Attorney – Mass Tort, Nursing Home & Sexual Abuse

Join a high-impact plaintiffs’ litigation team in Midtown Manhattan where you’ll advocate for victims in complex mass tort, nursing home, and sexual abuse cases.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex plaintiff-side litigation matters from intake through resolution
- Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to demands, taking and defending depositions, and preparing expert witnesses
- Draft motions for New York State and Federal courts
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, briefs, and memoranda
- Collaborate closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and support staff to achieve strong client outcomes
- Maintain regular, compassionate communication with clients throughout their cases
- Evaluate case strategy and contribute to settlement negotiations and trial preparation
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active admission to the New York State Bar (required); Federal District Court admissions a plus
- 3+ years of plaintiff-side litigation experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in mass tort, nursing home negligence and abuse, and/or sexual abuse litigation strongly preferred
- Strong deposition, motion practice, and case management skills
- Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and client communication abilities
- Trial experience is a plus
- Proven ability to manage a demanding, multi-matter caseload in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and attention to detail
