Placement Officer

About the role

The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society is seeking a proactive and organised Placement Officer to join a friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys coordinating complex processes, building relationships, and delivering an excellent service. You will play a key role in supporting student placements across healthcare programmes, working closely with the Placement Manager and Placement Coordinator, and helping to shape and improve placement services while supporting students as they prepare for future careers in health and social care.

Responsibilities

• Support placement allocation and capacity management
• Liaise with academics and placement providers
• Coordinate placement-related activities
• Help ensure compliance with professional and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the development and improvement of placement processes and systems
• Travel to other sites as required

Requirements

• Educated to A‑Level standard (or equivalent)
• Experience of working in Higher Education or a similar complex organisation (advantageous)

Skills

• Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills
• Confidence to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Confident using IT systems and databases
• Able to manage a varied workload in a fast‑paced environment
• Enjoy working collaboratively while taking ownership of your workload
