About the role
A PK (Pharmacokinetics) Support Scientist I is responsible for gaining knowledge and an understanding of the basic processes and software required to peer review and provide support to the PK Analysts including Microsoft Office and PK Software. The individual in this role is also expected to gain an understanding of how to review protocols, data, and reports.
Responsibilities
- Learn all processes for PK analysis in order to QC/peer review, gain knowledge of PK software to apply to QC.
- Gain knowledge of PK and Drug development theory.
- Gain ability to review protocols, data and reports to be able to provide QC support.
- Become familiar with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and applicable regulations.
- Gain ability to proactively communicate internally with Study Director/Individual Scientist/Principal Investigator.
- Gain understanding of scheduling process and maintain compliance to scheduled work.
- Learn to undertake other duties as might be reasonably requested from time to time and to ensure that the work is conducted in a co-operative and flexible manner.
- Maintain awareness of developments in PK within the pharmaceutical industry, including software such as WinNonlin and other parameter estimation software packages.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa now or in the future.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Computer skills, including the ability to learn a validated system.
- Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts; sometimes on short notice.
- Ability to work under specific time constraints.
Pay
$68,000 - $95,000. Salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
