Responsibilities

  • Work all in-store stations, including making menu items, assisting customers on the phone and in-person, and expediting orders.
  • Perform basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and make correct monetary change.
  • Take and process orders using verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Operate all store equipment, including ovens, cutters, and scales.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
  • Prepare products and receive/process telephone orders.
  • Clean equipment and facility daily.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Willingness to work in varying and sometimes adverse conditions, including:
    • In-store temperatures ranging from 33°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas.
    • Exposure to fumes, cornmeal dust, confined spaces, and hot surfaces (up to 500°F+).
    • Sudden temperature changes and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.

Physical & Mental Abilities

  • Sensing: Ability to speak, hear, and understand verbal communication (phone and in-person). Near/mid-range vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces required.
  • Temperaments: Ability to direct activities, work under stress, meet quality standards, analyze data, and make decisions.
  • Standing: Most tasks performed standing on ceramic tile, concrete, or linoleum (work surfaces 36"–48" high).
  • Walking: Frequent short distances (e.g., between store and customer vehicles).
  • Sitting: Paperwork completed while sitting; driving (if applicable) requires sitting.
  • Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs, dimensions up to 3' x 1.5') and stack onto shelves up to 72" high.
  • Carrying: Dough trays (~12 lbs), cases (up to 25 lbs), and prepped items (e.g., 30-lb pizza sauce cases).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Move trays/products on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
  • Climbing: Navigate stairs/ladder for maintenance or deliveries (up to 5+ flights).
  • Bending/Crouching/Squatting: Stock shelves, clean low areas, and assemble pizzas (forward bending at waist).
  • Reaching: Continuous reaching (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning on ovens, scooping ingredients, or cleaning.
  • Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands for shaping dough, using pizza peels/cutters, and assembling boxes.

  • Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment.
  • Pizza cutters, peels, scales, and other kitchen tools.
