Position Overview
Scoops & Slices is seeking an energetic, dependable, and quality-driven Pizza Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is responsible for preparing handcrafted pizzas and other quick-service menu items while delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and speed of service in a fast-paced resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, and cook pizzas according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients while maintaining freshness and quality standards.
- Prepare additional menu items including salads, appetizers, sandwiches, desserts, and other quick-service offerings as assigned.
- Operate pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain attractive food displays and replenish ingredients throughout service.
- Prepare meals accurately and efficiently to meet guest expectations during high-volume service periods.
- Support a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere through teamwork and attention to detail.
- Respond professionally to special requests or dietary needs when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
- Properly rotate products using FIFO methods and monitor food quality.
- Avoid waste through proper portioning and product handling.
- Notify supervisors of inventory shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have valid drivers license, motor vehicle background check will be completed.
- Previous experience as a pizza cook, line cook, prep cook, or similar culinary position preferred.
- Experience operating pizza ovens is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Work safely around hot ovens, sharp equipment, and commercial kitchen machinery.
- Tolerate exposure to heat, steam, and varying kitchen temperatures.
