Piping Superintendent

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders. Your field supervision will ensure operations align with established schedules and work methods are executed safely.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities through coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff.
- Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
- Develops planning construction methods and procedures.
- Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
- Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, and vendor requirements.
- Implements and enforces policies, procedures, and work rules as established by field construction management.
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals to interpret engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical materials.
- Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Foremen, and Craft Professionals.
- Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
- Extensive working knowledge of construction planning, monitoring, and control.
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment and their uses.
- Extensive technical knowledge and experience in piping operations to ensure coordination with stakeholders for safe execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, database applications).
- Experience managing union craft.
- Heavy industrial US direct-hire construction experience.
- Knowledge of Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and Bechtel Core Processes.
- Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
- Knowledge of Bechtel’s "Zero Accidents" safety program.
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills.

Pay
Salary range: $106,800–$162,900 annually, determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications.
