About the role
As a Piping/Plumbing Engineer II in our Portland office, you will play a crucial role in developing and documenting system designs for various types of facilities, including healthcare, laboratory, industrial, and institutional settings. Your responsibilities will involve interpreting technical design criteria, utilizing user and partner input, conducting field surveys, and researching codes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria
- Interpret and utilize information set forth in basis of design
- Collaborate with project partners and users to gather necessary information
- Conduct field surveys and code research to inform design decisions
- Utilize computer operation for engineering design programs such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Architecture (BSAE) or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing piping/plumbing systems for healthcare, laboratory, industrial, or institutional facilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs
