Piping Installer - A -Shift (Mon-Thurs)

About the role

BASX, a leading provider of custom HVAC solutions, seeks a skilled individual to join our dynamic team. Located in Redmond, OR, BASX is part of AAON and has been innovating since 2014.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports
• Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment, according to specifications, by brazing, gluing, soldering and threading joints
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets and/or Unistrut
• Troubleshoot problems in the piping systems we build
• Install automatic controls used to regulate hydronic and refrigerant systems
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken form
• Possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills
• Exhibit good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrate strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Work effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to work 10–12-hour shifts
• Competency in selecting pipe type, size and related materials, such as supports, hangers per job specifications

Essential Physical Functions

• Lift up to 50lbs
• Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours
• Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure
