About the role
This position will be involved in a variety of engineering projects with a focus on natural gas transmission and distribution engineering. The Engineer Designer will interface with the engineering team consisting of engineers and management personnel. The Designer for this position will be responsible for the piping design deliverables of concurrent projects from concept design through to the successful completion of various drawing issuances and submission of final project deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D piping models using CADWorx plant 2020 or newer versions.
- Demonstrate expertise in conceptualizing and laying out equipment and piping from a P&ID.
- Develop drawings and concept sketches to facilitate construction work.
- Compile and distribute necessary documentation such as status reports, punch lists, sketches of completed work.
- Collaborate, process, and implement feedback from the Engineering team during the iterative design process.
- Design plans, sections, details, and isometric view drawings.
- Ensure sufficient product views and details are provided for fabrication.
- Produce bill of materials (BOM’s) from 3D models and support the process team in compiling process deliverables.
- Implement quality control
