Pipeline Operator - Intermediate

About the role

ONEOK is seeking a Pipeline Operator - Intermediate to support safe, reliable Natural Gas Liquids pipeline operations in the Midland, TX area. This role will be responsible for intermediate-level pipeline operations and maintenance activities, with a strong focus on responding to One Calls, locating and marking lines, supporting damage prevention efforts, monitoring pipeline integrity, completing inspections, and helping ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipeline operations and maintenance activities on systems including compressor stations, gas storages, dehydration facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment (startup/shutdown, pigging, collecting liquids, changing charts, gauging tanks, locating and marking lines, monitoring cathodic protection/basic pipe coatings, leakage survey/patrolling pipelines, blowing drips).
• Perform and/or dispatch line locates; construction watch; monitor usage and replace lubricants, fluids, inhibitors, chemicals as needed.
• Exchange information regarding pipeline operations, maintenance, measurement, and other activities with public/governmental officials, employees, contractors, customers, producers, and landowners.
• Provide calculations, compile, and prepare information and reports including gas/liquid flow and quality, maintenance/repair logs, samples, pipeline/corrosion activities, construction inspection, appropriate regulatory requirements.
• Drive and ensure maintenance is completed on assigned company vehicle.
• React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule approximately one weekend every six weeks; assume on-call duties at 4:00 PM each Friday and provide weekend coverage for operational callouts, emergencies, and business needs for all areas.
• Travel to other locations within the assigned region up to 30% as required.

Requirements

• No formal education required.
• Experience operating and maintaining pipeline systems and related equipment utilized in natural gas and liquids gathering and transmission systems.
