Pipeline Operator - Intermediate
About the role
A Pipeline Operator based in the Ada Oklahoma Area is needed. This position requires living within ten miles of Ada. Essential functions include assisting with or performing operations and maintenance activities on various pipeline systems.
Responsibilities
- Startup and shutdown
- Pigging
- Collecting liquids
- Changing charts
- Gauging tanks
- Locating and marking lines
- Maintaining cathodic protection/basic pipe coatings
- Leakage survey/patrolling pipelines
- Blowing drips
- Dispatching line locates
- Driving and ensuring maintenance on company vehicles
- Reacting immediately to emergencies to prevent injury
Requirements
- Experience, training, and/or knowledge of company and governmental operating/safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Knowledge of cathodic protection/corrosion control activities
- Ability to establish, prioritize assignments, and complete tasks in a timely manner with supervision
- Ability to interact, negotiate, communicate, and exchange information
- Ability to use tools and equipment including computers and related software
- Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
