Responsibilities

• Doing layout, set elevations and grading.
• Installing of above ground mechanical piping and supports.
• Having experience in the installation of carbon steel piping and Victaulic couplings, fittings experience with Copper piping a plus.
• Reading / Interpreting: contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, architectural, structural and mechanical drawings.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pipe-fitter / mechanical trade.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Able to create a safe working environment, and understands OSHA regulations.
• Able to take off and communicate tool and material requirements to the supervisor.
• Experience in carbon steel, copper (soldering, brazing) and PVC installations.
• Experience setting mechanical equipment including Clarifier equipment, pumps.
• Able to set up and perform piping tests.
• Must have reliable transportation to job-site.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others.
• Able to identify potential issues during installation and elevate them to Foreman/Gen Foreman.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Skills

• Experience in carbon steel, copper (soldering, brazing) and PVC installations.
• Experience setting mechanical equipment including Clarifier equipment, pumps.
• Able to set up and perform piping tests.
