About the role

Responsibilities
- Configure pipe systems according to blueprints and plans.
- Ensure all steam, water, chemicals, or other liquids are turned off before working on the piping system.
- Precisely cut, bend, and weld metals such as carbon and stainless steel.
- Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials from pipes as needed.
- Install piping or tubing segments securely with welding or other equipment.
- Thread, weld, and solder piping together.
Requirements
- Three years’ experience as a pipefitter or pipe-fitter apprenticeship preferred.
- A high school degree or equivalent educational experience; a vocational school or trade apprenticeship required.
- Must meet all state license requirements.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Initiative-taking with the drive to learn and grow.
- Must be able to work as a team and solve problems.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations regarding piping systems.
- OSHA 10 certification.
Skills
- Welding and joining of various piping systems.
- Installation of manual and electric safety valves.
