About the role
This position involves assisting in the planning, lay-out, and performance of all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work. Responsibilities include maintaining positive relationships with the crew, producing high-quality work safely and productively, providing feedback, and eliminating waste.
Responsibilities
- Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
- Produce high quality work, safely and productively always.
- Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information is available for the work.
- Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
- Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
- Effective math skills – add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
- Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
Requirements
- Must have a one – two years’ experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have a general understanding of the craft work being performed.
- NCCER Core Curriculum and /or a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman.

Pay

Schedule
Up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
