Pipefitter Helper - Jamac

Responsibilities

• Aid pipefitters in laying out, assembling, and installing piping systems according to specifications and blueprints.
• Transport and organize materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site, ensuring they are readily available for use.
• Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing spaces, removing debris, and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Perform basic pipefitting tasks under the supervision of experienced pipefitters, such as cutting, threading, and assembling pipes.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety meetings.
• Clean, maintain, and store tools and equipment properly to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the project.

Education Requirements/Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and gain experience in pipefitting is essential.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Job Requirements/Special Skills

• A basic understanding of construction practices and safety procedures.
• The ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of various pipefitting techniques and tools.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects.
• The ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
