Pipefitter Foreman

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC pipefitter to lead our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of HVAC systems. This role involves supervising, coordinating, inspecting, and performing the assembly, installation, and repair of piping components, subsystems, and systems for commercial buildings and industrial facilities during construction, tenant finish-out, or remodel projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of HVAC pipe installers.
• Oversee the installation of HVAC/R systems in commercial settings.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety standards and regulations.
• Review schematics and blueprints to plan HVAC installations or repairs effectively.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex HVAC issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Train new employees on best practices for HVAC installation, repair, and safety protocols.
• Build custom solutions based on project requirements, including welding piping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in the commercial HVAC industry.
• Journeyman HVAC certification (required).
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics related to HVAC/R systems.
• Ability to weld piping and familiarity with steam systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and quality workmanship.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams effectively.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to access and navigate all areas of construction sites.
