Pipefitter Foreman

About the role

Bahnson Mechanical Systems, part of EMCOR Group, is seeking a Pipefitter Foreman to lead teams on industrial, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and mission critical projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in sheet metal and process piping, blueprint reading, and the ability to supervise crews effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction or project managers to establish job schedules and priorities
• Communicate work schedules and job priorities to on-site personnel
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned projects and complete/submit required documentation
• Lay out pipe systems, supports, and related equipment according to blueprints
• Install industrial process piping systems (1/2” to 10” in size)
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, valves, gauges, and related equipment by welding, brazing, soldering, or threading
• Inspect and test installed systems using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, or other methods
• Cut or bore holes in structures prior to pipe installation using hand or power tools
• Utilize blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedure
• Compile lists of materials and equipment needed for projects
• Maintain assigned tools and issued safety equipment
• Supervise and support crew members on projects as required
• Complete as-built drawings at project closeout
• Follow company handbook and safety documentation policies
• Monitor jobsite to ensure a safe work environment and report safety violations to the safety supervisor

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial process pipefitting experience
• 3+ years of leading construction teams
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience supervising installation of stainless-steel and/or carbon process piping systems
• Ability to fit, solder, and lay out piping systems
• Proficiency with electrical and manual tools
• Experience operating safety equipment and using safe work habits
• Ability to work in a team environment with high safety and quality standards
• Capacity to take on additional responsibilities and manage priorities with minimal guidance
