Pipefitter

Responsibilities

• Completes appropriate paperwork, machine documentation and preventative maintenance records.
• Aids other maintenance team members in meeting department requirements while serving as a resource to production, engineering and other plant personnel.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, manufacturers' manuals, sketches, and/or similar documents.
• Plans pipe system layout, installation, and repair according to industry standards and specifications.
• Cuts, threads pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
• Assembles and secures pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by threading joints.
• Troubleshoots complex systems with and without the assistance of engineering documentation.

Requirements

• Must be able to use all types of hand and power tools and supply own set of tools of the trade.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• 3+ years previous manufacturing experience
• Journeyman's Card preferred

Physical Demands
