About the role

We're looking for a Pipe Stress Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. You'll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will develop and design a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial projects as part of a multi-discipline team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in pipe stress analysis and support design
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)
  • Proficient in pipe stress analysis software such as AutoPIPE and Caesar II
  • Proficient with finite element analysis (FEA) and associated software such as FE-Pipe and NozzlePro
  • Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Advanced experience with AutoPIPE
  • Working knowledge of plastic pipe design and analysis
  • Working knowledge with design tools such as Navisworks and AutoCAD
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for buildings and construction

Pay and benefits

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $116,800.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may also enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan. Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, and caregiver leave. Certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
