Responsibilities

• Supervise the layout, assembly, and installation of various sizes and types of mechanical piping and/or sheet metal duct systems at job site locations.
• Support the Superintendent to complete the project on time, safely, and on (or under) budget.
• Test mechanical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Observe, report, and correct unsafe work environments.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company.

Requirements

• 5 years of commercial sheet metal or mechanical piping experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the Superintendent and follow direction.
• Must show up on time, ready to work, and in uniform.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands

• Occasional sitting; frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing.
• Constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping.
• Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to talk and hear.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Material handling: lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

• Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, and high noise intensity levels.
• Atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, and exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, and working in high-exposure areas.
